The Nottingham Woods Spa Bathrooms project was special as it was our second major renovation in this home. Our clients have an eye for sleek modern design, and wanted to update their master and guest bathrooms to this aesthetic. Keeping in mind the clean lines of their kitchen renovation (see it here), they desired bathrooms with a luxury spa feel.

In the master bathroom, the combination bathtub/shower was tucked under the window and squeezed between the vanity and a built-in unit. One of our clients’ top goals was a large shower with multiple shower heads and sprayers, and the original layout did not allow for this expansion. We rearranged the bathroom in order to build a large custom shower on the back wall, relocating the toilet to the wall with the vanity and removing the built-in unit. To complement the 12×24 tile used on the backsplash in the kitchen, our clients chose a 12×24 porcelain tile to use on both the bathroom floor and all shower surfaces to create a seamless spa feel. The linear drain in the shower and sliding shower glass door increased the elegance of the space.

In the guest bathroom, we stuck to the original layout of the room. The bathtub/shower was replaced with a walk-in shower with two shower heads, and the vanity, toilet and all fixtures were replaced. A darker, more masculine colorway of the same 12×24 porcelain tile was used on the bathroom floor and shower surfaces.
