Aria Frenchtown Estate | Part II
INTRO
Our latest renovation was located in Bartonville, Argyle, TX. This is a great community if you are looking for good schools and spacious living. The Aria Frenchtown Estate renovation also included a beautiful new master bathroom. We are thrilled to share these results with you in Part II of this before and after blog post! We hope they inspire you. Wouldn’t it be great to renovate your master bathroom?
BEFORE
The original layout of this master bath involved a lot of dull coloration in paint and material. The beige walls combined with the dark cabinetry and tiling left the room feeling too heavy and uninviting. Our goal for the master bathroom was to brighten the space by repainting the walls, replacing the countertops and vanities, and updating the lighting and tile. Our vision was to create a more inviting space for our clients to prepare for the day, as well as a relaxing refuge to wind down in the evening. Let’s take a look at how we accomplished this.
DURING
In the master bathroom, we demolished the built-in tub and removed the linen closet by the vanity. The new custom cabinetry included a linen tower to regain this storage space while also opening up the footprint of the bathroom. We modified the framing for a new larger shower and installed new lighting. In the hallway outside the master bedroom, we built a coat closet in place of a decorative nook (not pictured). This replaced the storage space lost in Part I of this project, where we removed the entry coat closet to make space for a coffee bar. The master bathroom previously had an arched opening in lieu of a door. We reframed the entrance and installed a barn door to add another layer of privacy.
The master bathroom design was centered around the stunning copper-wrapped freestanding bathtub and Restoration Hardware chandelier. We selected the Tundra Gray 12×24 tile for the bathroom floor to coordinate with the warmth of the copper, while also updating the bathroom color palette to center around taupe gray. Caesarstone Statuario Maximus quartz was installed on the vanity counters in a honed finish. The bright custom vanities are painted Sherwin Williams – Agreeable Grey. The barn door to the bathroom is in Sherwin Williams High Reflective White and the walls are in Sherwin Williams – Cadet. This change in wall color combined with natural light coming in from the windows gives life to a previously-heavy space. Black honed stone shower floor tile adds a stunning contrast to the overall lighter space. Finally, bronze plumbing fixtures and hardware bring in the finishing touches for a stunning master bathroom our clients can enjoy for years to come!
AFTER
The more open layout, huge shower, and updated lighting add a spa-like feel to this master bathroom. Rustic elements such as the barn door, copper tub, and wood-frame mirrors add a touch of rustic charm. What was once a dull and heavy room is now shining and gleaming around every corner. Wouldn’t you just love to have a bathroom like this one here? We know we sure would!
Overall, we’re thrilled with the transformation of this home. The updated kitchen and living area, as well as the refreshed master bathroom, have really brought this space to life. Thanks for following along with us on this project. We can’t wait to see what’s next!
