Elegant Marble Bathroom – Before & After

2019-05-06T10:00:50-05:00May 6th, 2019|Bathroom, Before & After|0 Comments

Our Elegant Marble Bathroom project is located in a beautiful hillside neighborhood in Highland Village, Texas. The house was built in the 90s and our clients had updated much of it, but the master bathroom was dated and awkward in layout. The angular shower partially blocked the entrance to the master closet, and narrow access to the garden tub increased the closed-in feeling in the bathroom.

Irwin Farmhouse – Before & After Part II

Welcome to Part II of our Irwin Farmhouse before & after! If you haven’t seen Part I (kitchen, living room, sunroom and laundry room) you can find it here. In Part I we shared our vision for the whole house and the scope of our renovation. The same modern farmhouse aesthetic with our own flair was the basis of our design for the hall bathroom, our boys’ bedrooms, and the guest bedroom. The only interior area of the house that hasn’t been renovated yet is a small en suite bathroom off the guest room. We’ll be tackling that and sharing the process with you in the future!

Irwin Farmhouse – Before & After Part I

The Irwin Farmhouse project is especially significant for us as it is our own “new” home. It may just be our favorite project to date. While we’ve renovated for ourselves before (see our most recent project at our previous house here), we always made changes one room at a time. This time we updated the entire house at once before we moved in. That enabled us to make the whole house cohesive from a design standpoint and create a space that perfectly reflects what feels like home to us.

Family Style Galley Kitchen – Before & After

2018-04-13T13:01:00-05:00April 5th, 2018|Before & After, Kitchen, Uncategorized|1 Comment

The Family Style Galley Kitchen is in a Tudor-style home built in 1920. The house had so much character, from the diamond-pane windows in the front room to the dark wood paneling throughout, but the kitchen didn't fit the stately elegance of the rest of the house. Our clients' main goal was to open the kitchen up to the surrounding rooms. They also desired to create more space in the kitchen so the whole family could be in there together, and update the design to a blend of modern style and timeless sophistication.

The Parquet Ranch – Before & After

The Parquet Ranch project sits on a beautiful large lot in a hidden gem of a neighborhood. It's near city amenities, but feels rural as trees hide it from the main road. The house itself was in fantastic shape, but didn't fit our clients' design taste. Built in the mid-1908s, many aspects of the house still felt tied to that decade. Our clients had dreams of creating a more open living space and revamping the surfaces of the home to reflect their mountain rustic style.
