Bright & Airy Master Bathroom
Master Bathroom Renovation
The Bright & Airy Textured Bathroom project was a partnership with returning clients. We love this aspect of remodeling, as it allows us to build upon previously-established client relationships and transform their space room by room! Completing a renovation sometimes feels like leaving old friends, but beginning a new one with treasured clients is like coming back home!
This home was built in 2004, and the master bathroom was ready for a facelift. When asked what their bathroom was like before, our clients responded,
“Our bathroom was your typical ‘builder-grade blah’. There wasn’t anything exciting about it, and to be honest, the functionality wasn’t that great either. After 15 years of use, the floor tile was cracked, the shower had cracks, and the giant garden tub was just a big dust collector. The room is spacious but storage was totally inadequate. I hated having all our toothbrushes, hair products, and accessories cluttering up the counter.”
Before
“The Irwins renovated our guest bath a couple of years ago and we absolutely love how it turned out. We get compliments on it all the time. So our goal was to create a master bathroom that was just as beautiful and at the same time add more function by increasing the size of our shower and adding more storage.”
Our goal with the design was to stick to a neutral color palette and add interest with shape and texture. Our client fell in love with the Bono leathered-finish granite, and we built the rest of the design around that component. The stone flower mosaic in the shampoo niche was just the perfect feminine touch to balance the angular hexagons on the shower and bathroom floor.

When discussing the biggest change in the space to come from the renovation, our clients replied,
“The biggest change, other than the overall beauty, is the cabinet configuration. The cabinet quality is amazing and the additional storage we have from the tower and added drawers has made such a difference. The granite counter has such rich color and texture, it is probably my favorite element.”
“We are grateful for how smoothly the construction process went, Jeremy and his crew are the best of the best. But we could not have pulled together such a beautiful master bathroom without Kelley’s design expertise and her patient hand-holding and guidance throughout the entire process.”
