The Southern Glam House earned its nickname in the earliest stages of project design. Our client's goal was to combine "updated traditional" elegance with a hint of high-sheen sparkle to achieve a timeless design style.
The Coastal Kitchen project took place at a newer home (built in early 2000's) in Denton, TX. The house was in great shape, but the brown tones in the kitchen didn't match our clients' style. They desired more flow between their kitchen and living room and didn't like the bi-level island or dividing archway that split the two spaces. One main goal was to gain island space in order to make the kitchen more functional for entertaining.
The Texas Gate House is located outside town down a windy rural road. Set on over 2 acres and built in 2000, the Texas Gate House is the ideal country farmhouse complete with a large front porch and dormer windows. It earned its name from the cattle guard at the entrance of the long driveway. Cattle guards are humorously called "Texas Gates" in Canada where Kelley grew up, and the name stuck.

The Nottingham Woods Modern Kitchen project is located in a highly-coveted area in Denton with mature trees, lots of parks and well-established homes. Built in the mid-80s, the Nottingham Woods house was in excellent repair but our clients desired a more up-to-date kitchen that aligned with their style.
The Honey House was built in the late 1990's and is located in a prominent Denton neighborhood. The house had great bones and was in excellent condition, but our clients wanted a more open layout for hosting their growing family and friends and a more updated feel. The goal was to transform the home's traditional look (heavy with dark wood) to a lighter, airier farmhouse style. The family welcomed two new grandchildren in the past several months and Honey is our client's "grandma name", so "Honey's House" became The Honey House.
The "Windsor House" was built in the late 1990's. While it had been well taken care of and was still in great shape, it was in need of updates. Check out all the details of this kitchen before and after [...]
