Vintage Escape Master Suite
INTRO
We recently had the privilege of transforming the Vintage Escape Master Suite project, a renovation that allowed us to turn a functional yet mundane and outdated master bathroom into a personalized oasis. Nothing is worse than a space that doesn’t feel like you. Join us as we leave behind the plain and beige bathroom and transform it into our client’s dream bathroom.
BEFORE
Before the renovation commenced, the bathroom exhibited a rather uninspiring layout. The shower was confined, with tiles and grout showing signs of wear and tear. While a jetted tub was present, it had become an underutilized relic of the past. Our clients were yearning for a distinctive upgrade that not only catered to their family’s needs but also embraced their unique style. The vanity, in particular, was a prime candidate for a stunning transformation, poised to serve as the centerpiece that would tie the entire space together.
Selecting a renovation team for your dream project can be a daunting task. Fortunately, our clients chose Irwin Construction based on
“friends who also had their master bathroom renovated by Irwin Construction. It was a beautiful, well done job and that drew us in.”
This trust is something we hold dear, and we’re excited to take you through the journey of the renovation process.
DURING
The renovation began with some substantial structural modifications. We expanded the floor space by pouring a new slab and constructing a bay window. Inside the bathroom, we reimagined the closet layout, merging two separate spaces into one, complete with a convenient pocket door entrance. In the closet, we introduced shelving for an organized display of our client’s shoe collection, along with hanging rods for additional storage for some extra pizzazz!
The reconfiguration of the bathroom layout necessitated plumbing modifications to ensure functionality. Our team crafted a custom shower pan and included a coveted shampoo niche – a feature we absolutely adore and frequently incorporate into our projects. A frameless shower glass unit with a sliding door was installed, perfectly complementing the ceramic shower tile laid in a timeless pattern. As the finishing touches, we introduced a freestanding tub and a wall-mounted tub filler, along with new cabinet hardware, mirrors, and vanity light fixtures. *swoon*
We made so many changes to the overall look of the client’s bathroom and the biggest one to them was
“there’s more color and contrast with the renovation. Our bathroom no longer feels bland and beige but a space that is beautiful, warm, and inviting.”
It was a testament to our success in achieving their vision and we are so happy with the results.
AFTER
We are utterly captivated by the bronzy elegance that now graces this master bathroom haven. Every detail, from the decor to the fixtures, has come together seamlessly to create an inviting space for this wonderful family. The standout features include the stunning vanity and the combined walk-in shower with a freestanding tub. It is so hard to choose the best part of this project but our client is
“so glad we went with green cabinets. I really like the combination of the green cabinets with the honed black granite countertops. Many thanks to Kelley for her help with finalizing these details.”
The careful selection of materials and colors played a pivotal role in achieving the final, breathtaking result. We hope you find this project as enchanting as we do, and we invite you to explore all the details we used in this project below. Who knows, you might be able to save some of them for your renovation dreams!
