White Oak Marble Master Bath

BEFOREAFTER

INTRO

Hello there! Join us today for a walk through our White Oak Marble Master Bath project. This project was interesting due to the bathroom’s unconventional angles. We meticulously planned the renovation to maximize the space and deliver a stunning, upgraded master bath to our clients. We cannot wait to share the results with you. Let’s dive in!

BEFORE

Before starting this project, the original layout of this bathroom included a small shower and a huge jetted tub that our clients never used. They were not happy with this design and wanted to convert the entire area into a large, luxurious walk-in shower. Our clients were also eager to update the brown tile, dark stained vanity, and solid-surface counter with molded sinks in favor of lighter colors and more modern fixtures. Let’s see how this process went!

DURING

The homeowners wanted an elevated look without making the space feel busy. To accomplish this, we centered the bathroom design around the beautiful dark gray stone-look floor tile and large format marble-look shower wall tile. We concentrated most of the texture and movement in the space in the shower area to really create a focal point in this bathroom.

We began by demolishing the entire bathroom and replacing the window with textured obscure glass so we could get rid of the blinds. We fabricated a new custom white oak vanity with a countertop linen tower and medicine cabinet, and installed MSI Calacatta Miraggio Gold quartz countertops (sourced from ProSource).

The bathtub was removed and a large walk-in shower with a frameless shower glass panel was installed in its place. We used MSI Stonella 2” Hexagon mosaic tile for the shower floor, and Eleganza Fossilique 24” x 48 polished tile with Schluter Jolly edge trim in Tuscan Cream for the shower walls. The bathroom flooring received a major update, and the brown tile was replaced with new matte 12×24 tile for a more modern look. LED recessed can lights, light fixtures, and plumbing fixtures were the final details we added to the space.

Our color palette included Sherwin Williams Origami White on the bathroom walls, Sherwin Williams Pure White on the ceiling, trim, and doors, and Minwax Pickled Oak stain on the white oak cabinetry. We mixed champagne bronze and matte black fixtures and hardware for just the right combination of contrast and sheen. The oversized arch-top vanity mirrors were an ideal solution for covering the expansive wall space without resorting to large rectangular mirrors. The arched tops introduced softer shapes, enhancing the flow of this angular bathroom.

By the end of the project, everything came together to form a very relaxing and spa-like space for our clients.

AFTER

We are so very pleased with these results. All of the pieces came together beautifully to form an elevated and sophisticated master bath that our clients can enjoy for years to come. We are especially proud of the walk-in shower that replaced the tub, and the stunning polished shower wall tile. Our clients now have a beautiful and functional place to come and unwind at the end of their day. Doesn’t it just look heavenly?
